The University of Birmingham is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Estates to lead the Estates Division and play a key role in shaping and delivering our new Campus Vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice to the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and Chief Operating Officer on estates-related matters.
  • Lead the Estates Division, comprising c.200 staff, and manage significant financial resources.
  • Deliver ambitious major capital projects and realize the Campus Masterplan.
  • Develop and implement a clear vision for the University's estate, working with renowned international architects.
  • Ensure excellence in service delivery across the large and varied university estate.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estates leadership roles within large, complex industry-leading organizations.
  • Track record of delivering major capital programmes and setting a clear vision.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on service excellence.
