Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Financial Services Assistant to join our team at USP College. As a key member of our finance department, you will provide comprehensive financial support to our Management Accountant, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently, maintaining good supplier relations.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all invoices have been recorded and/or paid.
  • Process Purchase Orders and manage BACS payment processing.
  • Raise invoices and credit notes to customers and students, allocating payments received.
  • Manage debt recovery and send reminders for late payments.
  • Prepare and reconcile petty cash and daily banking.
  • Arrange BACS payments for authorized bursary payments, student refunds, and other manual payments.
  • Operate our online payments portal and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist the Management Accountant in maintaining accounting records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, taking payments and answering financial queries from students and staff.
  • Update financial information accurately and communicate effectively with management and team members.
  • Assist with month-end and annual procedures.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to new software.
  • Team-oriented ethos and a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills.
