Job Title: Senior Management Accountant

Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including schedules, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
  • Report and analyze monthly cost variances.
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Control and allocate sales and balance accounts.
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts to quarterly payments and allocate balances in Sage.
  • Complete monthly bank credit reconciliations.
  • Agree daily cashbook reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly Auction Summary and Profit Share reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT Returns for all companies.
  • Support the Financial Controller in authorizing online payments.
  • Complete credit card summaries and post them to the accounts system.
  • Assist in the year-end audit process.
  • Contribute to treasury and cashflow accounting.
  • Liaise with the wider accounts team to ensure they meet their targets in completing the underlying ledgers.
Requirements:
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification.
  • Experience working in a similar senior finance role.
  • Strong communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Logical problem-solving skills and intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using Sage 200 is an advantage.
