Job Summary

The Cost Controller General will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function at INEOS Automotive. This individual will be responsible for developing, controlling, planning, and forecasting general and administrative (G&A) budgets. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of annual budgets and business plans, working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Provide regular financial updates to department heads, including actuals versus budget analysis and variance explanations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely accruals are submitted to reflect full-month actuals.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including actuals versus budget comparisons and full-year forecasts as required.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and work with department heads to implement and monitor results.
  • Liaise with finance and other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Assume the role of first approver for purchase requests (PRs) from covered departments.
  • Support departments in preparing projects and coordinating with the project controller.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Requirements

  • Studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or relevant degree desired but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of finance analyst or similar experience, with a strong background in building and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulae.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Commercial awareness, a positive attitude, and a 'can-do' approach, with the ability to challenge at all levels.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly master complex requirements.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term professional relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adjust to an ever-changing landscape, with a willingness to suggest novel solutions to problems.
