Senior Programme Officer Job Description

Signature Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Programme Officer to provide administrative support to our client, a London-based university.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative assistance to students, academics, and other stakeholders, including inbox management, data entry, and calendar organization.
  • Student Enquiries: Coordinate student enquiries ahead of the new academic year, triage when necessary, and provide support during the term.
  • Module Updates: Assist with updating modules using university-specific software packages and deal with Mitigating Circumstance Forms (MCFs) and Examination Boards.
  • Committee Servicing: Assist with general committee servicing, including calendar invites, agenda preparation, and producing well-written Minutes.
  • Events and Activities: Assist with events and activities, working flexibly as part of a team to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
Key Skills:
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Good organization, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with a range of stakeholders.
  • IT Skills: Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Forms, and Zoom/Teams, with experience of learning management systems such as Moodle and other student record systems.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to multitask while maintaining a strong attention to detail with good data entry skills.
  • Proactivity and Teamwork: Proactive and adept at mastering new concepts, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
