Mental Health Nursing Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Registered Nurse to join our team in Ryedale District. As a permanent, full-time Band 6 Senior Community Registered Nurse (RMN/RLDN), you will be working in our Community Mental Health Team at Princess Road Clinic.
Job OverviewThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in caring for older adults with mental health conditions, including functional and organic mental health disorders. You will be responsible for developing and improving your skills and knowledge in the community setting, while being an active member of our multidisciplinary team.
You will have a deep understanding of co-existing factors that affect the health and wellbeing of our patients, their carers, and families. Your excellent communication skills and willingness to learn and develop will enable you to work effectively as part of a team, providing high-quality patient-centered care.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and improve skills and knowledge in the community setting
- Be an active member of our multidisciplinary team
- Work collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
- Provide clinical supervision to individuals or groups as professionally appropriate
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team and participate in quality improvement activities
The successful candidate will possess:
- A current professional registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (RMNH/RNLD)
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent (to be achieved within 6 months)
- Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing clinical supervision OR willingness to work towards within 6 months
- 18 months post-qualifying experience, including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework
We offer a competitive salary of £43,041 - £69,282 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance.
