Hays Business Support is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Training Support Officer. This position will be based in Newtownabbey, and the successful candidate will work on a full-time temporary basis until June 2025 with possible extension.

The main responsibility of this role is to source appropriate work placements for trainees and apprentices, ensuring that they meet contractual requirements and adhere to internal procedures and DfE training guidelines. The ideal candidate should have a Level 3 Qualification, GCSE Maths and English, and at least two years of experience in an administrative role. They should also have access to suitable transport for business purposes and duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing work placements for trainees and apprentices
  • Monitoring attendance and progress in line with agreed targets and documentation
  • Ensuring employers understand and comply with contractual requirements
  • Participating in recruitment, marketing, and induction activities
  • Implementing contingency arrangements for apprentices who lose their jobs

In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of £13.16 per hour, paid on a full-time basis (36 hours per week). Located in Newtownabbey, this role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
