Job Title: Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at Lincolnshire And District Medical Services (LADMS). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced pharmacy professional to contribute to the development of our clinical pharmacy services.

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide expert clinical pharmacy support to patients and healthcare professionals. They will be responsible for leading improvements in safe, cost-effective prescribing practices, promoting evidence-based medicine, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake medicines reconciliation in accordance with practice protocols and update patient records accordingly.
  • To provide expert advice on prescribing safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness to GPs, staff, and patients.
  • To assist in monitoring and managing prescribing budgets, liaising with the medicines management team at the ICB.
  • To prepare evidence-based resources and information to support the implementation of rational, cost-effective prescribing.

Requirements:

  • Current GPhC registration as a qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Proficient in the use of IT, including MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and working with spreadsheets and databases.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
