ROLE OBJECTIVE

In a dynamic and fast-paced setting, you will deliver a professional and proactive HR advisory service to management across various levels, focusing on the management of employee absence and well-being.

Your responsibilities will include offering guidance on absence and well-being issues, aiming for optimal outcomes for both the organization and its employees, particularly in relation to managing both short and long-term absences, flexible working arrangements, and family-friendly policies.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively participate as a member of the HR team, fostering effective relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of cases, prioritizing tasks based on individual case needs and deadlines.
  • Ensure adherence to best employment practices by providing clear advice aligned with HR policies and guidelines.
  • Offer practical solutions to management while considering legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Work independently, utilizing initiative on assigned tasks, and seek senior advice when necessary.
  • Coach managers on effective people management practices, including communication and decision-making.
  • Prepare and review documentation for formal meetings, providing feedback to management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Case Management System, ensuring proactive case management.
  • Collaborate with fellow HR Advisors to ensure a consistent approach to case handling.
  • Meet or exceed all service level agreements.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a diverse range of individuals.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with effective verbal and written communication tailored to the audience.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience in managing various HR cases.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and its implications for employers.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels, characterized by clarity and collaboration.
  • Experience in building strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • CIPD qualification preferred (ideally Level 5).
  • Experience in delivering HR solutions in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
