About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Mental Health Social Care team in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading on complex cases and supervising colleagues in AYSE and Assistant Social Worker's.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex case load, including individuals with mental health needs, and work closely with secondary health colleagues.
  • Supervise and appraise Social Work colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality practice.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key partner agencies, including the Local Authority and third sector providers.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge and skills amongst the social care team, including training and guidance on relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions, as well as Section 42 adult safeguarding enquires.
  • Work within a statutory setting, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Strong social work values and ethics, with a real interest in working within a mental health setting.
  • Experience of complex case load management, including individuals with mental health needs.
  • Experience of supervising and appraising Social Work colleagues.
  • Minimum of two years relevant post-qualifying experience.
  • Experience of undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions.
  • Experience of working within a statutory setting.
