Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Pharmacist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to patients, including medication management and advice.
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient safety and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new services and initiatives to improve patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on medication management and other relevant topics.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality metrics and benchmarks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or a related field (e.g., MSc, PG Dip).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
