Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic team as a Lead Pharmacist for Antimicrobial Stewardship. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize antimicrobial use and reduce the risk of antimicrobial resistance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the delivery of safe and effective antimicrobial stewardship programs across the Trust.
  • Collaborate with the antimicrobial lead and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement policies and guidelines for antimicrobial use.
  • Provide expert advice and support to healthcare teams on antimicrobial therapy and stewardship.
  • Monitor and analyze antimicrobial use data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize antimicrobial use.
  • Represent the Trust in collaborative antimicrobial stewardship activities and contribute to developing, planning, and delivering joint projects with other healthcare organizations.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist who possesses the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor/Master of Pharmacy degree
  • GPhC pharmacist registration
  • Relevant senior experience in antimicrobial stewardship
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
