Job Title: Therapy Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Therapy Team Lead to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a professional qualification and registration, and extensive knowledge and experience of providing evidence-based treatment for eating disorders in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of the therapy timetable across the Intensive Day Service.
  • Work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist / Consultant Family & Systemic Psychotherapist and Lead for Specialist Psychological Services in CAMH and other senior leads and operational managers to ensure the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of the Therapy provision within the Intensive Day Service.
  • Represent psychological/systemic therapists within the CYP-ED MDT and wider HPFT services.
  • Support the CYP-ED Intensive Day Service MDT as necessary as a senior member of the team and provide specialist assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and their families and carers to a high level of expertise based upon sound psychological/systemic principles and techniques.
Person Specification:
  • Assessed experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of children/adolescents with a wide range of presentations of varying severity, including eating disorders.
  • Experience of working with moderate to severe mental health problems with a wide range of client groups.
  • Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for client's psychological care and treatment.
  • Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision, including supervision of psychology trainees.
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team and inter-agency collaboration.
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively and well, orally and in writing.
  • Able to work at a high level of professional autonomy and responsibility.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £53,755 to £60,504 a year, pro rata + 5% of basic salary (min £1,192 max £2,011). The role also offers a range of benefits, including a pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.

Contract and Duration:

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The role is full-time, with a working pattern of 37.5 hours per week.
