We are seeking an experienced and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties who cannot attend mainstream schools.
Key Responsibilities:- Curriculum Delivery: Assist with the delivery of the curriculum and individual learning plans to ensure students receive a tailored education.
- Student Support: Provide support to students with daily tasks, promoting independence and confidence.
- Safety and Wellbeing: Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring the physical and emotional wellbeing of students.
- Development Monitoring: Regularly monitor student development, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform future planning.
- Collaboration: Work in partnership with other staff members and external agencies to provide a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
All candidates must undergo a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, as well as Right to Work in the UK and an Overseas Criminal Clearance check where required.
We offer a competitive pay rate, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and we undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. We also provide free child protection and prevent duty training to all our registered candidates.
