We are seeking a supportive and patient individual to work as an SEN Teaching Assistant in supporting students with complex needs and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work across various schools in Kirklees, providing tailored support to meet each student's unique needs, either one-on-one or in small groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with PMLD and complex needs
  • Support students with personal care (feeding, toileting, changing) and mobility needs
  • Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to aid learning and development
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each student's development
  • Demonstrate patience and understanding in challenging situations
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with students with PMLD and complex needs in the UK
  • A proactive and caring attitude
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits:
  • Competitive daily rate of £90 - £115, depending on experience
