Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with challenging behaviour in a Leeds-based school. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and other support staff to create a positive and structured environment conducive to learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them to manage their emotions and behaviour.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the SENCo and teaching staff.
  • Support academic progress by helping pupils understand and engage with the curriculum.
  • Foster a safe learning environment by ensuring the classroom remains a safe and supportive space for all pupils.
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to maintain open and effective communication.
  • Assist with personal care needs where necessary, always maintaining the dignity of the pupils.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • A competitive salary of £80-£100 per day.
