Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Team Leader to join our Children's Emergency Department team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our young patients and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing, with experience in leading and managing teams in a fast-paced emergency department setting. You will be responsible for coordinating patient care, prioritizing tasks, and delegating responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses in the Children's Emergency Department
  • Coordinate patient care, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities as needed
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide education and training to staff on paediatric care and emergency procedures
Requirements
  • RSCN/RN Child with current NMC registration
  • Evidence of further education, training, and ongoing learning
  • Evidence of Paediatric Immediate Life Support Course
  • Evidence of Safeguarding Level 3
  • Evidence of Practice Assessor Course
  • EPALS or APLS
Desirable Criteria
  • Triage Competent
  • Leadership Course
