Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Team Leader to join our Children's Emergency Department team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients and their families, while also contributing to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, individualized, and holistic care to children and young people, in consultation and partnership with the child, their family, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote an environment that reflects the psychosocial and developmental needs of children and young people, including play, recreational facilities, and educational provision.
- Undertake the role of a Link Nurse for a given field within the department, as requested by the Ward or Matron.
- Comply with quality indicators and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, including hand hygiene and care bundles.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, in collaboration with the department/ward manager and multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license.
- Experience in a children's emergency department or similar setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures, including quality indicators and infection control.
