Clinical Technologist Assistant

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Clinical Engineering and Measurement Group as an Assistant Clinical Technologist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a healthcare setting, contributing to improving patient care through the effective use of technology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring clinical and technical knowledge in the field of Clinical Engineering, completing a 2 or 3 year apprenticeship program alongside workplace training and competency completion. They will also respond to telephone requests promptly, work within guidelines and policies laid down by OUH NHS Trust, and provide additional technical and administrative support to the Clinical Engineering Group when required.
The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This Band 3 Assistant Clinical Technologist role will give the post holder the chance to gain experience and an understanding of medical devices used within clinical areas and how they relate to patient care. The post holder will play an important role in ensuring that medical devices are effectively used across the Trust, supporting the activities of both the medical device equipment library & workshops where the post holder will engage in acceptance activity, preventative maintenance & gain an introduction to fault finding. The work will extend to clinical areas across all Trust sites & on occasions into community locations.
About the Role:- Acquire clinical and technical knowledge in the field of Clinical Engineering
- Complete a 2 or 3 year apprenticeship program alongside workplace training and competency completion

- Work within guidelines and policies laid down by OUH NHS Trust
- Provide additional technical and administrative support to the Clinical Engineering Group when required
