Clinical Support Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Band clinical support worker to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within the Oxfordshire Sexual Health Service, providing comprehensive STI management and contraception services to patients attending our outpatient clinics across the county.
The role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing excellent communication and patient care skills. The ideal candidate will have an interest in sexual health and be willing to learn new skills and develop their career. The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and Saturdays, and be able to commute between clinics.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the preparation of clinical rooms and closing down rooms at the end of the day.
- Preparing supplies for satellite clinics.
- Undertaking urine testing, pregnancy testing, collecting samples and documenting/storing samples safely.
- Chaperoning patients undergoing procedures such as coil fittings.
- Offering and performing asymptomatic screens to eligible patients.
- Cleaning and tidying clinical rooms and checking/documenting room temperature daily.
