This is a highly rewarding leadership opportunity for an experienced Physiologist to lead the Respiratory and Sleep Services at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

As a seasoned Physiologist with advanced Respiratory and sleep skills and expert knowledge, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services within the Cardiorespiratory Department. You will work closely with the Cardiorespiratory Departmental Manager, Centre and Operational Managers, and the Clinical Director for Respiratory to manage the operational delivery of all Respiratory and sleep services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage technical resources efficiently and effectively to ensure a smooth running of a quality service to all patients.
  • Plan and develop respiratory, oxygen, and sleep services across the Trust, ensuring effective resource and HR management.
  • Ensure the quality of respiratory and sleep service provision, including audit, research, development, procurement, and quality assurance of all equipment.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate junior staff to develop their skills and qualifications, ensuring appropriate capacity to meet clinical demand.
  • Deliver cardiac devices services to nationally agreed standards.
Requirements
  • BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification.
  • AHCP/RCCP or HCPC registration.
  • ARTP Part I + II examination.
  • Management or Leadership Qualification.

The salary for this role is estimated to be £53,755 to £60,504 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of the NHS team, you will enjoy a range of benefits and rewards.
