About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Langdon Hospital. As a key member of our Secure Services Directorate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex and severe mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to inform individualized care plans.
  • Develop and implement packages of treatment that focus on recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and promote social inclusion.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.
  • Participate in preceptorship programs to support the development of new staff members.

Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems.
  • Training and experience in therapeutic interventions, such as manual handling and first aid.
  • Leadership experience and ability to coordinate shifts.
  • Good level of IT computer skills.
Desirable
  • Previous care experience with individuals who have suffered mental health difficulties.
  • Mentorship training and willingness to obtain qualifications in this area.
