**The Role:**
The Operations and Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing outage programmes, reviewing project stage-by-stage single line diagrams, and conducting network studies using PSSE software. This role requires strong technical knowledge and communication skills to engage with project managers, engineers, stakeholders, and the National Grid Electricity System Operator. The successful candidate will work closely with our transmission planning department to develop and implement effective outage programmes, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our high-voltage transmission network.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**
Applicants should have a degree-level qualification in electrical engineering, although qualifications to HNC level in electrical engineering (minimum) with the relevant background will be considered. Sound knowledge and understanding of electrical power systems and the related network design standards are also essential. Additionally, technical knowledge and communication skills to engage with project managers, engineers, stakeholders, and the National Grid Electricity System Operator are required to optimise the outage programmes and find solutions during changing conditions.

**Salary and Benefits:**
The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
