We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team, who can leverage their expertise in machine learning and natural language processing to support our data science initiatives, expand our service offerings, and contribute to real-world evidence projects.

This role will involve collaborating with our Statistics, Literature Reviews and Synthesis, Technical Innovation and Development (TechDev), and Real-World Evidence (RWE) teams on various project types, including data analysis, database development, and evidence synthesis.

  • Main Responsibilities
    • Support the setup and implementation of data science techniques across various business applications.
    • Develop and implement machine learning models to enhance our service offerings.
    • Collaborate with the RWE team to create an internal data directory and develop databases for data management.
    • Assist with the visualisation of healthcare data and support clients in identifying relevant study subjects using electronic medical records.
  • Requirements
    • A degree-level qualification or higher in a quantitative discipline, such as data science, statistics, or mathematics.
    • 2 years of experience working in a professional data science role or 3 years of research experience in the field.
    • Expertise in programming languages, such as Python, R, and SQL, as well as web development frameworks like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
    • Experience with version control in Git and other data science tools, such as Shiny, D3, AWS, and dbt.
    • Knowledge of natural language processing techniques and ability to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

Salary: £52,500 per annum, based on location and experience.
