About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Costello Medical, specializing in healthcare informatics. This role will involve leveraging machine learning expertise to drive insights in the healthcare sector, expanding service offerings, and managing databases.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in a quantitative discipline, with experience working in a professional data science role or research experience in the field. They will excel in various programming languages, data visualization tools, and have a genuine interest in leveraging data to drive insights in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage machine learning expertise to support data science initiatives and expand service offerings
  • Manage and build databases to facilitate data management and analysis
  • Support real-world evidence projects using electronic medical records and data visualization

Requirements:

  • A degree-level or higher qualification in a data science, statistics, or related quantitative discipline
  • 2 years of experience working in a professional data science role or 3 years of research experience in the field
  • Expertise in programming languages, including Python, R, SQL, and web development
  • Experience with version control, data science-related tools, and machine learning models and algorithms
  • Knowledge of natural language processing techniques and ability to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data
