Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to join our team at Broadstone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level in actuarial consulting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical actuarial advice and services to pension scheme trustees, scheme sponsors, and other third parties.

This role involves working closely with colleagues in Investment Management, Broadstone, and other external partners to deliver high-quality actuarial solutions.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including actuarial valuations, defined benefit pension consultancy, and non-pensions actuarial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gather and provide information for actuarial calculations and reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical calculations, letters, and reports for senior colleagues' review.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Working collaboratively with junior colleagues to aid their development and progress within the company.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Passes in several actuarial exams required for qualification as FIA or FFA.
  • Aptitude to continue progressing with actuarial exams.
  • Working knowledge of actuarial valuations, accounting disclosures under FRS 102, IAS 19R, and either ASC 715 or US GAAP.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
