About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pensions Actuarial Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with consultants and partners to deliver high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly alongside consultants and partners with a variety of clients, including trustee and corporate schemes, to provide actuarial expertise and support.
  • Review and validate work performed by others to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct complex actuarial calculations, including approximate valuations and analyses of surplus.
  • Prepare and analyze financial data to inform business decisions and optimize pension scheme performance.
  • Assist in managing projects and client work, taking on increasingly senior roles as you progress.
  • Attend client meetings and present training sessions to junior colleagues, developing your communication and presentation skills.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in UK pensions consultancy, with good progress towards completing the actuarial exams.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK pensions, including actuarial principles and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills, with ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service.
