Job Overview

Burberry is seeking a skilled Department Head - Mechanical Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in driving category performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to drive sales growth and achieve category performance goals.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of sales team members, focusing on assigned categories.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and retain talented employees, recognizing and rewarding high performers through regular development plans and annual performance reviews.
  • Lead the integration of new joiners to the business, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Partner with the Store Manager and Training team to deliver Burberry Experience training within the store, using morning and weekly meetings to reinforce key elements through role-play and coaching.
  • In the absence of store management, process post-void transactions, authorize promotional discounts, and manage employee sales.
  • Drive the digital experience in-store, utilizing digital resources to communicate with customers when face-to-face interactions are not possible.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the business and effectively communicate needs and ideas to drive business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, consistently following and enforcing guidelines on operations.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including securing doors, windows, and merchandise, and ensuring successful alarming of the store and POS systems.
  • Previous experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort with digital tools is required.
  • Manage performance improvement and development of associates, driving growth and success within the team.
