Job Title: Team Manager - Leaving Care Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our leaving care services team in Peterborough and Lincoln. As a Care Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

The successful candidate will have experience in children's services and line managing people. A sound knowledge of Ofsted is essential, as well as being an empathic person who can keep calm under pressure. If you enjoy making a positive impact on children's lives, this could be the ideal role for you.

The estimated salary for this position is £38,476 per annum, which is competitive with other roles in the industry. The location is also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and amenities.

About the Role
  • Lead and manage a designated team of people working with service users to provide all required children's services activities and practices to agreed standards.
  • Complete management procedures and routines for each member of the team in line with People Policies to maintain individual and team capability and motivation.
  • Plan and delegate workload and resources within area of responsibility to ensure oversight of all case work and activities is maintained at all times.
  • Oversight and control of Service User Recording in the team to ensure it is undertaken in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Support the provision of performance management data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Represent the organization with stakeholders and commissioners as required to influence local practice and provision of support to children, young people, and families.
  • Maintain active engagement on all Safeguarding matters to deal with issues in the interests of the child, in a compliant and professional manner.
  • Maintain and develop staff competence in their activities by keeping them up to date with relevant developments in social care, education, health, and other relevant legislation and policies.

Key Requirements
  • Experience in children's services.
  • Experience line managing people.
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted.
  • Empathic person who can keep calm under pressure.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
