Clinical Specialist in Dystonia and Spasticity Management

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced nurse or Allied Healthcare Professional (AHP) to join our team in the management of patients experiencing dystonia and spasticity within the RDUH Neurology Department at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

The role involves undertaking assessment and treatment with botulinum toxin for patients presenting with complex symptoms resulting from dystonia and spasticity.

The postholder will have a working knowledge of alternative treatments to managing dystonia and spasticity, including pain and self-management, and be able to signpost or carry out as required.

The postholder will evaluate service needs to ensure safe and effective delivery of care, leading on service development of the non-medical injector service for dystonia and spasticity, further developing evidence-based assessments and outcome measures.

Working Pattern: 1 day per week
