About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the running of our care homes and supported living services, working closely with the Service Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and support are delivered to our customers.

As a leader in our team, you will be responsible for providing effective management and supervision of a great team, promoting positive outcomes for disabled people and ensuring the service is fully compliant with health and safety management and statutory obligations.

With a focus on promoting independence and choice, you will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and preferences, and develop strategies to support them in achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective management and supervision of a team of support staff
  • Monitor and provide the highest standards of clinical and personal support to our customers
  • Ensure the service is fully compliant with health and safety management and statutory obligations
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Develop strategies to support customers in achieving their goals
Requirements
  • A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 leadership in Health and Social Care qualification)
  • Experience in managing a team of support staff
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social care
  • Experience of working with customers who have physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Flexibility to work rostered hours
