Deputy Team Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join our UASC Service in Liverpool. As a key member of our team, you will support the Team Manager and social work team in delivering high-quality services to vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Team Manager in decision-making, chairing meetings, and working in partnership with multi-agencies to advocate for young people's needs.
  • Develop and implement positive long-term change and improvements, promoting stable placements and effective pathway planning.
  • Support the recruitment, induction, training, and supervision of team members, championing professional career development.
  • Act as a Practice Educator, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Team Manager in Safeguarding/Permanence, with a strong understanding of young people's journeys through the care system.
  • Confidence in applying legal proceedings and frameworks, with a robust understanding of safeguarding and permanence principles.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance culture, promoting consistent good practice across the team.

This is a limited status role, paying £44 per hour. The initial 3-4 week induction and training period will be full-time on-site, followed by at least 3 varied days per week on-site. We require the successful candidate to be available to start within the next 3 weeks and to live locally.
