Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Sense, the national Deafblind and Rubella Association. This rewarding role will involve working closely with individuals who have dual or single sensory impairment, learning disability, and associated physical disabilities.

About the Role:

This fixed-term contract is set to end in August 2025, with a part-time schedule of 21 hours, three days a week. As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to enable individuals to meet their communication, information, and mobility needs through the development of tailored learning plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective learning plans to reduce social isolation and increase community involvement.
  • Work closely with learners to achieve long-term goals outlined in Individual Learning Plans and social care programs.
  • Provide support with personal care as required.

Requirements:

  • A motivated individual with a passion for delivering specialist education programs to young adults.
  • No prior experience or qualifications are necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.
