Job Title: Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Specialist to join Brook Street UK in Shirley. This role presents an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will support and inspire students with difficulties associated with autism who require alternative modes of education. Our teaching approach is learner-centred, focusing on enabling access to learning for those with challenges in traditional education settings.

About the Role:
  • Location: Shirley
  • Estimated Salary: £21,350 per annum

In this role, you will assist teachers in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and progress. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of student progress and report to relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing individualised support to students with special educational needs
  • Developing and implementing effective learning strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress
Requirements:
  • Care experience (minimum 6 months) in a related field
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • DBS update service (desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
