Supportive Education Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supportive Education Specialist to join our team at Progress Teachers Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional regulation, wellbeing, and learning support to students in a secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote student independence in learning and social-emotional skills development.
- Reinforce students' self-esteem through positive reinforcement, set challenging expectations, and encourage autonomy.
- Establish and maintain relationships with families/carers to keep them informed about students' needs and progress.
- Develop knowledge of agencies and activities supporting vulnerable students.
- Foster cooperative learning environments and engage students in educational activities.
- Use assessment tools to identify students' needs and provide targeted mentoring/coaching.
- Monitor student progress, achievements, and development needs, collaborating closely with the Inclusion Manager.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families. A strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) interventions is essential.
Salary:£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
