Job Title: Head of Children and Family Services

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Head of Children and Family Services in West Cornwall. As a senior social work leader, you will have the opportunity to shape and improve early help and children's social care services, leading multidisciplinary teams and driving innovation and evidence-based interventions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of effective leadership in social care, with a strong commitment to improving children's experiences and outcomes. You will be responsible for leading specific practice areas across Cornwall, further strengthening staff confidence, capability, wellbeing, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services to children and families
  • Shape and improve early help and children's social care services, ensuring early intervention and access to the right support
  • Drive innovation and evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for children and families
  • Further strengthen staff confidence, capability, wellbeing, and resilience through coaching and mentoring
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and politicians to drive improvement in children's services
