Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Specialist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children with complex needs, providing specialist assessment and treatment planning.

About the Role

This role will involve working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide physiotherapy services to children aged 0-18 years. You will be responsible for assessing and treating children with complex physical and cognitive impairments, including those with severe physical and/or cognitive disabilities.

As a Physiotherapy Specialist, you will be expected to have a high level of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through a recognized physiotherapy qualification leading to state registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council. You will also be required to comply with all trust policies and the Health and Safety at Work Act, including adherence to the Universal Precautions and Infection Control measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist assessment and treatment planning for children with complex physical and cognitive impairments
  • To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments and treatment plans
  • To participate in staff appraisal and supervision sessions to ensure ongoing professional development
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Physiotherapist with experience in paediatric physiotherapy, ideally with postgraduate training in this area. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will also need to demonstrate a sound understanding of risk management and the importance of evidence-based practice in your work. Additionally, you will need to be able to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively, with the ability to work in a pressurized environment.

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
