Supporting Young Adults with Complex Needs

We are seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work with young adults aged 16-25 years who have complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities- Life Skills Development: Support students in acquiring essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking, travel training, and personal care.
- Tailored Interventions: Work one-on-one or in small groups to deliver interventions that address specific needs and help students reach their full potential.
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Assist with planning and delivering lessons that engage and motivate students, incorporating practical, hands-on activities.
- Creating a Safe Space: Create a safe and supportive environment for students, encouraging social interaction, building confidence, and helping them manage their emotions effectively.
- Progress Tracking: Track and record students' progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and contributing to individual learning plans.
- Experience: Experience working with young people with complex needs, including SEND and SEMH.
- Passion: Passionate about helping students develop independence and practical skills for everyday life.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to respond to the diverse needs of students.
- HLTA Qualification: A HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.
