**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Lead Officer - Food Safety and Licensing. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic professional to take on a challenging role within our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement effective food safety and licensing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of food businesses to ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and take enforcement action as necessary to protect public health and safety.
  • Prepare and present reports to the Licensing and Regulatory Committee and sub-committees as required.
  • Contribute to the development of licensing policy reviews and lead on consultations as required by the Team Leader.
  • Provide guidance and support to Specialist Assistants and other colleagues on food safety and licensing matters.

**Requirements**

  • Significant experience in the field of food safety and licensing, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present reports and documents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complaints and take enforcement action as necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
