As a key member of our team, you will provide a psychology service to Youth Justice Services across Durham Tees Valley, working alongside other qualified professionals to enhance professional understanding of young people involved with the criminal justice system.

Your key responsibilities will include providing specialist psychological consultation, assessment, and intervention for young people with mental health or neurodisability concerns, as well as supporting the youth justice teams in embedding trauma-informed care principles. You will also contribute to overall service delivery and utilize your research skills for audit, policy, and service development.

To be successful in this role, you will have a postgraduate training in clinical/counselling/forensic psychology, HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist, and postdoctoral training in one or more specialized areas of psychological practice. You will also have experience working as a qualified applied psychologist within the designated service, exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care, and joint working with statutory, voluntary, and private sector agencies.
