We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopment Assessment team, working with children and young people aged 5-18 years old, alongside their families. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and discussion.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people with additional needs and their families, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and with our multi-agency partner organisations.
The post holder will receive regular supportive supervision from the Consultant Psychologist within the service, and will have access to a strong psychology network across the trust and within the CAMHS directorate.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and discussion for children and young people aged 5-18 years old, alongside their families.
- Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and with our multi-agency partner organisations.
- Receive regular supportive supervision from the Consultant Psychologist within the service.
- Have access to a strong psychology network across the trust and within the CAMHS directorate.
- Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Trained in care co-ordination (within agreed timescale).
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Trained in clinical supervision (within agreed timescale).
- Registration with BPS.
- Post-graduate qualification showing evidence of supervised practice in an evidence-based psychological therapeutic model.
- Experience of working with young people with additional needs and their families.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and with our multi-agency partner organisations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and co-operatively as part of a team.
