About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Consultant to join our Adult Mental Health Social Care service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to assistant practitioners on duty, ensuring seamless delivery of care services across five locality teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocate tasks and provide oversight to assistant practitioners, guaranteeing high-quality service provision.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships with professionals from various backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement effective risk assessment strategies, prioritizing cases referred to the locality teams.
  • Supervise and mentor some practitioners who cover the duty function, fostering their growth and development.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with individuals with mental health needs, preferably with experience in management roles.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build strong relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle for occasional face-to-face assessments and interventions.
