Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled 1st Line Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Peaple Talent. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients, ensuring their IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, with experience in working with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Exchange. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing proactive support to prevent downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st Line technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote desktop.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Configure and maintain PC and server hardware and software.
  • Configure and troubleshoot firewalls and network devices.
  • Perform daily system checks, including backup monitoring and reporting.
  • Proactively deliver technical support to clients to prevent downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain and update internal client documentation and logging time and activities.
  • Ensure client satisfaction is achieved and maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • At least one year experience working as an IT/Support Engineer within an MSP or ISP.
  • Windows Server - Working Knowledge of Active directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP troubleshooting and administration.
  • Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online.
  • Microsoft Office 365 - Fundamentals of stand alone Office 365 and Azure Sync environments.
  • Remote Desktop Servers.
  • Desktop Support - Windows / Mac / Remote Desktop Session / RDS Farms.
  • Networking protocols including TCP/IP.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with problems and technical issues in a pressurised and time-sensitive environment.
