Roadway Operations Specialist

Griffiths is currently seeking a highly skilled Roadway Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civils infrastructure work and experience operating heavy machinery on the highway.
The role involves performing various tasks including construction, installation, and repair of roads, cycleways, and footways. This includes kerb and edging works, as well as surfacing repairs and maintenance of roadside verges.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be responsible for excavating and reinstating trenches for duct and drainage installation. The role also requires participation in a standby/call out rota to attend to emergencies and reactive work outside of normal working hours as required.
Responsibilities:
- Construct, install, and repair roads, cycleways, and footways
- Perform kerb and edging works, as well as surfacing repairs and verge maintenance

- Participate in a standby/call out rota for emergency and reactive work
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in civils infrastructure work and operating heavy machinery on the highway
- Familiarity with utility drawings and understanding of the risks associated with damaging underground and overhead services
- HGV Class 2 driver's license and relevant certifications for winter maintenance operations
- CSCS card
Salary:
Estimated annual salary: £35,000, dependent on experience
