Job Summary">

We are seeking a highly skilled Cook to join our team at Akari Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen, creating menus, and ensuring that our residents receive high-quality culinary care.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient service delivery
  2. Create menus that cater to individual dietary needs and preferences
  3. Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents
  4. Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds 706 - 1&2 or equivalent
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Head chef or Head Cook experience in similar environments
  • Supervisory or Line Management experience
  • Caring nature and ability to give personal approach
  • Proven ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and delegate effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona
  • Respectful and resilient individual
Salary and Benefits">

The salary for this role is £27,000 - £32,000 per annum. We also offer a range of benefits, including pension contribution of 5%, recognition schemes, and rewarding referral schemes. Additionally, we provide uniform, DBS check costs paid, 28 days annual leave (based on full-time hours), flexible working patterns, fully funded training and development, support with personal development plans, and the opportunity to grow and develop both personally and professionally.
