Job Role">

We are seeking a talented Cook to join our team at Akari Care. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing meals, managing kitchen resources, and ensuring that our residents receive high-quality culinary care.

Main Duties:
  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents
  • Manage kitchen resources, including stock, equipment, and supplies
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to deliver excellent service
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds 706 - 1&2 or equivalent
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Head chef or Head Cook experience in similar environments
  • Supervisory or Line Management experience
  • Caring nature and ability to give personal approach
  • Proven ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and delegate effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona
  • Respectful and resilient individual
Compensation and Benefits">

The salary for this role is £29,000 - £34,000 per annum. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including pension contribution of 5%, recognition schemes, and rewarding referral schemes. Additionally, we provide uniform, DBS check costs paid, 28 days annual leave (based on full-time hours), flexible working patterns, fully funded training and development, support with personal development plans, and the opportunity to grow and develop both personally and professionally.
