About the Job:

The Controller Position is a critical role within Austin Fraser's finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our financial controls, funding, and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Control: Support the delivery of our financial controls, funding, and improvement projects.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise the delivery of operational activities within the Accounting Team.
  3. Team Management: Manage a team of 4 accounting professionals.
  4. Financial Reconciliations: Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
  5. Cost Analysis: Work with Business Partnering on cost analysis and queries.
  6. Process Improvements: Support process improvements and represent Finance on projects within the wider business.
  7. Reporting Requirements: Support the Reporting Team with annual audit and other reporting requirements.
  8. Financial Controls: Support an effective financial control environment within the wider business.
Requirements:
  1. Accounting Qualification: Part Qualified/Finalist Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
  2. Teamwork: Experience of working with a team to deliver daily operational efficiency.
  3. IT Skills: Strong IT skills, including substantial Excel usage.
  4. Reconciliation Expertise: Experienced in bank reconciliation and some knowledge of sales/purchase ledger activity.
Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum.
