Overview

Rare is an Xbox Game Studio that creates innovative games that push the boundaries of what's possible. Our team is passionate about crafting exceptional experiences that captivate audiences worldwide. As a Live Services Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of gaming.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our Live Services team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and operating scalable systems that support our games. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality delivery. Your expertise will be essential in implementing modern development practices, such as continuous delivery, automated testing, and code reviews.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in C# and familiarity with automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of writing tests and testable code.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, or TeamCity.
  • Knowledge of designing, building, and operating highly available and scalable microservices.
Desirable Skills

We're excited about code and welcome contributions to open-source projects or personal apps. Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and.NET is a plus.
