About the Role

Rare is an Xbox Game Studio creating innovative games that push the boundaries of what's possible. As a Live Services Engineer, you'll play a critical role in developing and operating the services that support our games, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of players worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, tested services to support Rare's current and future games, developing and improving our platform using .NET and Azure Cosmos DB.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and operate highly available and scalable microservices, leveraging modern development practices like continuous delivery and automated testing.

Take ownership of your work, minimizing technical debt and avoiding maintenance hazards, while contributing to the improvement of engineering at Rare.

What You'll Need

  • Solid grounding and experience in C#.
  • Familiarity with automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with writing tests and testable code.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, or TeamCity.
  • Understanding of designing, building, and operating highly available and scalable microservices.
