Application Engineering Specialist

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
You'll make an impact by:
- Leading multiple efforts such as translating customer needs into product development enhancements, developing expertise within the organization, and helping various stakeholders implement new smart hardware & software solutions into the collision repair industry.
- Collaborating with product development teams, channel partners and business teams to provide practical solutions to our customers.
- Identifying future business opportunities, product improvement needs and issues preventing commercialization.
- Supporting and troubleshooting concerns for sales professionals & end-users with installation and onboarding activities of the RepairStack Performance Solution.
- Developing content and training key stakeholders regularly as the RepairStack software and program evolves.
- Ability to self-start and work in dynamic and evolving role.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- A technical diploma (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution or 5+ years of previous experience in the collision repair industry as a supplier, end-user, channel partner or manufactures representative.
- Current, valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication & organizational skills (written, verbal, listening and presentation).
- Excellent English (written and spoken).
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Previous experience serving industrial markets such as manufacturing, OEM, distribution, collision repair or insurance industry.
- Previous hardware / software experience with automotive calibration & diagnostic equipment and inventory management solutions.
- Passion for problem solving with an entrepreneurial spirit and track record on working in dynamic environments.
- Previous experience in application engineering, technical service, technical training and/or technical sales within industrial markets.
- Ability to efficiently analyze, problem solve and implement solutions.
- Proven understanding of using data to assist in technical sales strategies.
